FITNESS TEST SCHEDULE
A Physical Fitness Test is required for registration, annual renewal and upgrading for the active referees in grades 7 and above. A test is not required for Referee Grades 8 and 9 (Recreational) or Emeritus grades. Referees who pass the fitness test at the National Camp, a Regional Pro Clinic, Upgrade or other special clinic need not take a second test. Fitness testing for grade maintenance and other purposes must be completed prior to December 31 in order to recertify in the new soccer year which begins on January 1.
Important - you must log into your account and pre-enroll for the session you plan to attend.

| NOTES |
|---|
-
Full fitness specifications are outlined in the USSF fitness requirements section in the Referee Administrative Handbook.
* This is a make-up session only for those who failed to meet fitness test requirements last year, or for those wishing to upgrade. This test may not be used for referees wishing to meet recertification requirements for the coming year.
| NISOA REFEREES WHO ARE ALSO USSF REFEREES |
|---|
|
Since 2002 NISOA fitness tests have not been considered equivalent to USSF fitness tests for the purposes of USSF grade maintenance or upgrade, but we tried to run the tests concurrently. In 2005, changes to the NISOA fitness test differentiate it further from the USSF test. Massachusetts referees who areaffiliated with both USSF and NISOA will require separate testing for each affiliation and may not take the tests at the same venue. |
